What is the Cornea?
This is the transparent dome-shaped window at the front of the eye. It does most of the focusing of light in the eye, with the lens sharpening the focus onto the retina.
Most diseases of the cornea cause visual problems through loss of clarity or distortion of the cornea. Unlike retinal conditions, they can also often be uncomfortable or painful. Dr Chauhan generally asks his corneal specialist colleagues to manage corneal conditions.
